Amazing sea and mountain views beckon from the large terrace. Inside, natural materials, reflected sunlight and a modern rustic design breathe new life into a typical village house. Design details like archways and built in seating enhance the calm and stylish feel, with areas to relax in the cool.
Timeless design
The interior architecture was a labour of love for us. Designed and refined over many years, it was brought to the architects as a fully formed concept. Spaces are now filled with reflected natural light, design influences from Ibiza & Morocco bring texture & colour to the rustic minimalism. Lots of storage has been designed-in, to keep the space uncluttered - yet allow favourite objects to be displayed.
Natural materials
Working closely with our architects BEAM Estudios, Casita Alborán was renovated using sustainable and natural materials. Lime plaster covers the walls and ceilings, allowing the stone walls to breathe and stopping the usual humidity problems. Handmade terracotta floor tiles are used across all three floors. Done to the highest standards using local tradespeople, we wanted to future-proof Alborán as much as possible.
Spanish lifestyle
Stunning views from the large roof terrace allow the new owners to take full advantage of the year round sun & warm temps. La Herradura is a bustling seaside town that retains its Spanish essence, yet it caters for local & international tourists. Stroll to the beach in a few minutes, with stunning clear waters, world class diving, bars and restaurants. A very special place. Underground parking very close by was included in the price.

Hello, we are Alex and Adrian.
We fell in love with Spain and specifically La Herradura after a couple of trips around Andalucia in 2015.
Living and working in France since 2005, we bought Casita Alboran in 2019, after waiting three years for the deeds to be completed! We were able to rent it the meantime to live in during the winter when we were not working.
The design came from a lot of thinking about how best to use the square meterage, whilst keeping a sense of space and calm. After finally making the move to Spain and after months of building work this year our dream finally became a reality. We have loved the house and the amazing views, but are now selling Casita Alboran so we can renovate our new home in La Herradura old town.
